NYSE Euronext Aims to Speed Up Data Center With Solarflare
NYSE Euronext announced that in order to accelerate its trading network it will deploy Solarflare's 10 Gigabit Ethernet server and OpenOnload software at its data center.
The exchange operator said the arrangement will ensure that the billions of transactions and quotes that it handles across the globe on a daily basis will be processed at the lowest possible latency on all of its global trading platforms. The move will also provide a boost for the company's two liquidity centers which are critical to the its operations across a diverse range of asset classes and geographies, NYSE Euronext said in a statement.
"In addition to providing the highest-performance, lowest latency hardware, Solarflare's unique and innovative application acceleration software can be deployed quickly without any need to re-write our applications," said Andrew Bach, NYSE Euronext's senior vice president of network services.
