The Fimat Group, a Paris, France-based brokerage firm, has promoted Wessel van der Scheer to managing director of its Asian zone. Van der Scheer, who joined Fimat in 1998, previously worked as the general manager at Frankfurt, Germany-based Fimat International Banque S.A.
FleetBoston Financial has made its InvestmentLink application available to its institutional customers. FleetBoston developed the most recent version of the Web-based application-- which offers customers online access to investment holdings, current rates, deal capture, transaction review and straight-through processing -- in partnership with Bonaire Software Solutions. Bonaire is a services and applications provider targeted, primarily, at securities firms.
Triple Point Technology, a provider of electronic commodity trading systems, has launched version 2.0 of Power XL, a trading system targeted at deregulated electricity markets. The new version of Power XL is a front-to-back-office system that features trading, power scheduling, risk management, financial settlement and invoicing.
Townsend Analytics, a provider of real-time market data and direct-access trading software, has named Adam Warren its vice president of special projects. In this role, Warren will help Townsend Analytics to execute its strategic plan for future market expansion, creating growth opportunities for clients, partners and employees. Prior to joining Townsend, Warren worked as the senior manager and leader of the exchange and markets practice at Arthur Andersen LLP.
