Fidelity Introduces New Web-based Streaming Tools For Active Traders

Active traders can compare multiple symbols in one chart and can view multiple charts in a single layout.

Fidelity Investments announced it will active traders will now be able to access advanced streaming and trading tools previously available only on the desktop now via www.ActiveTraderPro.com.

The platform is accessible via a PC or a Mac, and provides clients with robust streaming tools such as quotes, news, charts, and watch lists, as well as equity, options, ETF and mutual fund trading capabilities.

ActiveTraderPro.com offers intuitive navigation and features that make it easy to use, such as a customizable layout that helps put users in control of their trading experience, the linking of tools by symbol, and integrated positions from Fidelity.com within watch lists and news, according to a release.

The integration also gives users access to equity research on Fidelity.com.

"We're combining the power of a desktop application with the accessibility of a Web browser to give our active trader clients more choice for how they want to access realtime trading and market data," said James C. Burton, president of Fidelity's retail brokerage business.

"We heard from early adopters that the new Web-based tools are helping them 'trade like professionals' and that the Mac compatibility is a significant advantage."

Active traders have the ability to use more than 40 different indicators on any chart, and have a full set of drawing tools to include trend lines, support and resistance lines, notes, Fibonacci lines and Gann Fans.

All indicators, bars and candles are fully customizable, and users can save their custom chart views for quick access in the future.
