Sang Lee Leaves Celent

Sang Lee, manager of the securities and investments practice at Boston-based Celent Communications, has resigned. Lee, who helped grow the start-up research firm for close to five years, says that he "simply needed to take some time off." Lee plans to spend time with his family and travel to Asia, where, in addition to becoming fluent in Japanese, he hopes to work on consulting/research projects that focus on IT issues within the financial services industry in Asia.

He intends to return to Boston in December but says he hasn't made up his mind in terms of what he will do. "I can definitely say that whatever I end up doing, it will involve IT and financial services, so you can certainly expect to hear from me in the near future," he adds. Octavio Morenzi, Celent's president and CEO, has taken on Lee's role and does not plan to hire a replacement.
