Spending On Grid Technology To Rise

There will be significant growth in the grid market over the next five years, according to a report released by Westborough, Mass.-based research firm TABB Group. While software and services spending by the global financial markets - including investment banks, brokers, investment managers and custodians - in the grid computing area currently is $88 million, the report cites an expected increase to $1.2 billion by 2010. These figures do not include high-speed connectivity or security and entitlement.
