Regulators in the Driver’s Seat

Regulation is here to stay and remains the No. 1 driver for IT organizations within securities and investments businesses for 2005, says recently released research by TowerGroup. Although many regulatory issues, such as e-mail storage and mutual fund scandals, have remained on the radar of senior executives since 2003, there has been some reprioritization.

The table below highlights the top regulatory issues on the minds of executives at the end of 2003 and those on their minds today. The below issues are not listed in order of importance.
