Re: Board members paly major role in securing organizations information
This is an important point: the role of the board is to protect the company from risks which could include cyberattacks.  It sounds like the board is an overseer of the IT department or at least checking up on whether IT is doing its job. Isn't the CIO/CTO or chief of information security (CISO)responsible for ensuring the firm is protected from cybersecurity? I suppose the board is another layer of oversight that can assess whether these technology leadership has adequately protected the organization.

Board members paly major role in securing organizations information
The board of director's traditional purpose is to manage the risk to an organization. It is important organizations conduct regular security maintenance and testing that focuses on the most common threats to its applications. I work for McGladrey and there's a whitepaper on how the board members paly major role in securing organizations information and privacy. bit.ly/mcgldryinfosec2
