Thomson Reuters Rolls Out Platform to Aid Compliance

The company said the launch of Accelus Compliance Manager follows a survey of more than 500 compliance professionals, which found most are struggling to keep up with the new regulations.

Thomson Reuters announced the launch of Accelus Compliance Manager, a platform designed to help firms navigate the massive new regulatory requirements being enacted around the world.

The news and data provider said the platform will connect to users' internal compliance systems, and allow them to track, monitor, and better understand new regulations.

"The traditional approach to managing compliance and being able to evidence it to the regulators, will no longer scale to meet the new demands imposed by increased regulatory volume and complexity," said Mark Schlageter, president of Thomson Reuters' Governance, Risk and Compliance unit.

The firm added that it decided to unveil Accelus after a survey of more than 500 compliance professionals found that most are struggling to keep with the demands of new regulations.
