Orc Rolls out Connectivity to Lime Brokerage's Low-Latency Trading Infrastructure

Connectivity to Lime's low-latency infrastructure will provide high-frequency and other latency-sensitive traders with high-performance access to the U.S. equities, options and futures markets.

Orc Software, a provider of technology and services for the global financial industry, announced that it will offer connectivity between its trading platform and Lime Brokerage, an independent agency broker and a provider of high-throughput, low-latency technologies to the professional trading community.

Connectivity to Lime's low-latency infrastructure will provide high-frequency and other latency-sensitive traders with high-performance access to the U.S. equities, options and futures markets.

Clients of both Orc and Lime will be able to take advantage of Lime's infrastructure, built for high-frequency traders, and connect to numerous markets with one interface, according to a release.

Orc's high-performance trading platform will let these clients build and deploy their high-frequency trading strategies quickly and leverage their strategies from one market and instrument to another. As part of the roll out, Orc will also be integrating Lime's ultra-low latency Citrius market data into its trading platform.

Marty Leamy, President, Americas at Orc Software, commented, "Lime Brokerage is a premier trading technology provider. Their market-leading low-latency trading infrastructure, built for high-frequency traders, is ideally suited to Orc's client base. We look forward to working with Lime to deliver a powerful trading solution to the high-frequency trading community."

John Jacobs, director of operations at Lime Brokerage, notes, "Orc is a great fit for Lime Brokerage. They have an outstanding automated trading platform that meets the needs of sophisticated traders. With their connection to our high-performance infrastructure, we look forward to offering a powerful platform for demanding, high-frequency traders."

Traders will be able to use Orc's connection to Lime Brokerage for deploying sophisticated trading strategies including spread trading, market making, volatility trading, and other advanced arbitrages.

Using Orc's Liquidator server-based technology, firms can build their own strategies and deploy them rapidly into the market. Clients can also take advantage of out-of-the-box trading solutions like Orc Spreader that provide the high-performance needed to help traders win more market opportunities.
