NYSE Technologies Brings SFTI to Asia

NYSE Technologies, the commercial technology unit of NYSE Euronext, has announced plans to expand the services of its Secure Financial Transaction Infrastructure (SFTI) to Asia for improved connectivity to NYSE Liffe.

SFTI provides a single point of connectivity with low-latency access to multiple markets. Plans are in place to upgrade existing assets to create the first Asian SFTI Access Centre in Singapore by the end of 2009.

In a statement Stanley Young, CEO, NYSE Technologies and Co-Global CIO at NYSE Euronext, said, “NYSE Technologies’ is committed to providing clients with access to global liquidity and continually strives to offer greater value and choice for our customers. By the end of this year, we are not only bringing SFTI into Asia but also enabling our customers to leverage their existing infrastructure to access more venues.”

Garry Jones, Group Executive Vice President and Head of Global Derivatives at NYSE Liffe, added, “Providing NYSE Liffe members with high quality access to our markets is critical to the continued success of our business. We are very pleased that our customers are now able to leverage the SFTI network in Singapore and look forward to further expansion in the region.”
