BT is expanding its Singapore hosting facility in a move the company says will allow it to accommodate a wider array of electronic trading applications.

The firm said the expansion will double BT Radianz Proximity Solutions’ floor space and available power. BT also said the expanded facility is in line with the specialized infrastructure needed to connect with existing and alternative execution venues in Singapore.

BT Radianz Proximity Solutions provides users with high-speed access to exchanges and other trading venues by combining fully-managed hosting facilities with low-latency connectivity.

In a company statement, Andy Nicholson, BT’s vice president of global banking and financial markets said, “the BT Radianz Proximity Solution enables BT to offer new services to meet the needs of a market that is aggressively pursuing low-latency trading across multiple trading venues, both domestically and internationally.”
