Beacon Capital Inks Alliance with Broadridge for Less-Liquid Fixed Income Securities

The deal will help Beacon clients locate difficult-to-find securities in less-liquid fixed-income securities.

Beacon Capital Strategies, operator of a marketplace for less liquidity fixed-income securities, signed a multi-year agreement with Broadridge Financial Solutions, a leading provider of outsourcing solutions to financial services firms.

Beacon’s clients actively trade less-liquidity fixed income securities including agency-mortgage-backed securities (MBS), asset backed securities (ABS) and collateralized mortgage obligations (CMO). Beacon said it established the first platform for less-liquid fixed income market, which is open to all buy and sell side participants on an anonymous and equal basis.

Broadridge is a leading fixed-income securities processing provider and currently handles on average over $3 trillion in notional value of U.S. fixed-income securities transactions daily.

This strategic alliance will help the firms’ clients locate difficult-to-find securities in the less-liquid-fixed income segment, thereby improving liquidity and efficiency in the overall marketplace, states the companies joint release.

By utilizing Broadridge’s Impact and MBS Expert products and Beacon’s Trade Discovery platform, clients will be able to search through the large universe of less-liquid fixed-income securities, find the other side of the trade for instruments that meet specific investment criteria and transact on liquidity that otherwise would not be publicly advertised in current trading venues.

In a statement, Robert Barsky, COO at Beacaon, said, “This alliance enables us to provide a powerful combination of inventory management and trading heretofore unavailable in the industry. We are very excited about rolling out this capability to the marketplace.
