Nasdaq Rebrands News Distribution Subsidiary

PrimeNewswire, Nasdaq OMX's news distribution subsidiary, has rebranded its service as GlobeNewswire.

GlobeNewswire aims to help public companies communicate with media and investors in local languages around the world while addressing regional regulatory disclosure requirements.

Doug Ventola, vice president of Nasdaq OMX Group, said in a statement, "Given the formation of the Nasdaq OMX Group earlier this year, we felt the name GlobeNewswire better represents the breadth and reach of our products and services on a worldwide scale."
