BGC Expands into Listed Products and Promotes Aubin to Head Effort from New York.

Inter-dealer broker looks to further develop voice and electronic broking services in listed products.

London-based Inter-dealer broker BGC Partners is expanding into listed products with Jeane-Pierre Aubin, executive managing director and global head of listed products moving to New York to take up a new from on Sept. 2nd. In addition, BGC announced a number of promotions in connection with the global expansion.

Aubin will be globally responsible for further developing BGC's voice and electronic broking services in listed products, including equity derivatives, cash equity, futures and options on futures and primary structured-products for that group. He will continue to report to Shaun Lynn, president of BGS Partners.

Aubin has played a key role since he joined the group in 2005 in the establishment and growth of operations in Copenhagen and Nyon, Switzerland, the acquisitions of ETC Pollak and Aurel Leven and the development of BGC's capabilities in listed products.

"I am very happy about the opportunity to further develop our hybrid model of voice and electronic broking services for listed products. We now have a fantastic foothold in Europe, including over 150 brokers in France alone, and we are excited by the potential elsewhere in the world," stated Aubin in the release.

As a result of Aubin's global mandate, Sean Robinson has joined the group as managing director and will be responsible for BGC's office in Nyon, Switzerland. Robinson is joining BGC from Dresdner Kleinwort where he ran the fixed-income flow trading business. He brings 20 years of experience in financial markets and managerial roles. Prior to working at DKB, he spent 10 years as a director at Merrill Lynch and previously worked for Bank of Tokyo as an associate director on its US dollar trading desk.
