Citi Hires Two Sr. Bankers for Equity Derivatives Desk

The bank hired David Silber, who joines from Jefferies &Co., and Peter Lambrakis formerly with Deutsche bank, in a move to strengthen its Equities team in the Americas.

Citi said it expanded its equity derivatives team in the Americas with the hiring of two senior bankers in New York. David Silber joined as managing director and head of flow equity derivatives sales, while Peter Lambrakis will also join Citi as a managing director, head of equity derivatives trading.

Silber, joined Citi in May from Jeffries & Co, where he held a number of senior positions, most recently as head of equities for the Americas. He also worked at Susquehanna International Group as an Associate Director.

Silber will report to Simon Yates, global head of equity derivatives and Brennan Warble, head of sales,

Lambrakis joins Citi from Deutsche Bank, where he was head of equity correlation trading. He started his career as a quant developer at O’Connor and Associates, before moving to Susquehanna as a derivatives trader.

Lambrakis will report to Yates and Kevin Russell, head of equities trading for the Americas.
