MessageGate is helping firms monitor, control and archive e-mail with Email Compliance System (ECS) 4.1. The new release features intelligent archiving, policy building and additional platform support. ECS 4.1 is focused on "reduction in e-mail archiving costs, improved efficiency in e-mail retrieval and easier management of e-mail compliance," says David Weld, president and CEO of MessageGate (Bellevue, Wash.).
The system's prearchive categorization capability makes certain that only relevant e-mails are archived, and its message-tagging function ensures that e-mails are stored with the proper retention period, based on content and relevant regulations. According to MessageGate, ECS 4.1's component-based service-oriented architecture easily integrates with a firm's existing archival solution. "ECS 4.1 can reduce archiving costs up to 50 percent annually and prevent thousands of non-compliant mails daily," asserts Weld.
