Macgregor Proves Compliance

Boston-based Macgregor's latest compliance control and reporting solution, XIP Enterprise Compliance, eases the burden of proving to the SEC that firms have the proper controls in place. "The SEC has become far more aggressive in its reporting requirements ... [and] now demands data presentations that prove compliance for each of the rules constraining each portfolio," explains Michael Woodward, VP of strategic development at Macgregor. "Traditional compliance technology effectively reports exceptions and their resolution, but these systems are not engineered to provide 'affirmative compliance' reporting. XIP Enterprise Compliance is engineered to present reports that smartly present relevant data over time frames that prove compliance."

Macgregor's solution supports all asset types and investment products, as well as the unique requirements of mutual funds, hedge funds, institutional accounts and high-net-worth retail accounts, the company says. XIP Enterprise Compliance allows users to cut and paste directly from an SEC prospectus and features natural language rule building that utilizes user-friendly drop-down options.
