Laserfiche Launches Upgrade for Compliant Document Management

Laserfiche, a document imaging software company, will release the seventh version of its document management product on Aug. 30. Jeffrey Green, director of compliance for financial solutions at Laserfiche, admits financial services firms are still wary about going paperless, but says that Laserfiche 7 is designed to offer a single automated capture system for managing high-volume paper, electronic and E-mail content. The software captures data at the local level, automatically sends it to regional offices where needed information is extracted, then routes the data to corporate headquarters where it is stored in an unalterable format. Laserfiche 7 will be the backbone of the company's upcoming Records Management Edition, designed to help offices create secure environments capable of retrieving information on demand while meeting standards including Sarbanes-Oxley and the USA PATRIOT Act.
