MarketAxess launches its Web-based Corporate BondTicker product; Reuters appoints Gerald Mintz to executive vp and head of Reuters content Management and Distribution Solutions Practice; Thomson Financial releases a Web-based module for market data users and systems administrators.

MarketAxess has launched its Web-based Corporate BondTicker product, which combines NASD Trace data with MarketAxess's tools. The product aims to provide institutional users with a comprehensive set of corporate bond price information. BondTicker includes real-time, continuous estimated spreads to benchmark. Treasuries for all corporate bond trades disseminated by the Nasd. Users can also access MarketAxess daily trade recaps, two-sided markets through the Actives page and transaction capabilities with 12 large corporate bond dealers.

Reuters has appointed Gerald Mintz to executive vice president and head of Reuters content Management and Distribution Solutions Practice. Mintz will report to Devin Wenig, president of the Investment Banking and Brokerage Division and will be responsible for managing and growing Reuter's real-time market data solutions business while also pursuing new business opportunities in other areas of content management and distribution. Previously, Mintz was chairman and CEO of Fame Information Services.

Thomson Financial has released a Web-based module for market data users and systems administrators at investment firms to create and download custom data files. Part of its Dataworks suite of products, the new Dataworks Plus module allows users to define data items to be included in customized or pre-defined reports to be generated at the stock or portfolio level. The module integrates data from Thomson as well as third parties. First Call Analyst users can also use the module to access portfolios and screening criteria.

FT Interactive Data has launched its newly enhanced Securities Information Retrieval Service. The SIRS-on-Demand service allows users to automate the addition of new security holdings to their securities master file throughout the business day, while also adding securities to current SIRS holdings file for ongoing maintenance. Users can send an input file to FT Interactive data and can retrieve their corresponding output file to be added to their securities master database in minutes. The SIRS-on-Demand service is available for all asset types in the SIRS product, except for options.
