The Shanghai Stock Exchange has tapped Reuters to help build an enterprise-wide data warehouse. The warehouse will have an integrated collection and storage database for company and fundamental data with multi-language capabilities. The platform aims to integrate and standardize the SSE's business database to allow users to access and analyze cross-asset financial data ranging form trading transactions, listed companies and member companies information, surveillance data and historical trading data. The open architecture also utilizes technologies such as Online Analytical Processing and Extract-Transform-Load.

Thomson Financial has launched its Thomson Analytics Web-based application with tools for using market data. Thomson Analytics provides access to a full spectrum of financial data from various sources through a single web portal. The application also provides functionality for screening, comparison and data integration in Excel. The portal includes a library of pre-defined peer groups, a Peer Builder to create new groups and a Peer Report or Custom Report Builder to customize results when conducting competitive analyses.
