Market Data Guru Feedback

Associate Editor Cristina McEachern asked this market data guru how she chose her market data vendors.

Associate Editor Cristina McEachern asked this market data guru how she chose her market data vendors. This was her reply:

It's vital to our Business Information Services team to understand Deutsche Bank's business. We match the needs of internal clients with information, products available in the marketplace, taking cost and reliability into account.

Contracting with vendors who offer superior content and technology is extremely important. We contemplate the information available and regard a supplier's willingness to negotiate a global contract. This addresses our need for tech-support in the major financial hubs, as well as in our more remote locations.

We prefer to maintain an international scope to the information that is delivered to our desktops and information professionals. We keep domestic and international information on equal footing across the globe. This is crucial in maintaining a competitive edge in supplying information to our sites.

We look to the reliability of a parent company when a new niche product is offered to us. The financial stability of an information provider is of extreme importance to Deutsche Bank.
