Juggernaut Capital Deploys New Risk Management Kit

Juggernaut Capital Management selected Imagine Software's cloud-based ASP service for portfolio management, real-time P&L, and risk exposure analysis.

Investing primarily in Asian equities, Singapore-based Juggernaut employs an opportunistic set of strategies including long/short equity, event-driven, and tactical short-term trading utilizing equity, options, and futures instruments.

"What originally drew us to Imagine was their system's advanced P&L calculations and flexible viewing options as well as its reputation as a premier provider in the Asia-Pacific region," says Wee Yee Tan, chief operating officer of Juggernaut.

He continues, "As an extensively deployed and widely recognized risk management solution, Imagine is uniquely positioned to understand and address the specific needs of firms in this region, and that was an essential consideration for us. Additionally, we required a scalable and affordable system with the capacity to accommodate the dynamic needs that will accompany the anticipated growth of our business."

As a new launch focused on equities and derivatives instruments, Juggernaut sought a solution that could provide real-time position and P&L views for its traders and portfolio managers. But equally important were powerful risk and exposure analysis capabilities along with a highly flexible reporting engine, according to a press release.

According to Wee, Imagine demonstrated its broad capabilities in all these areas. "A good example is Imagine's Custom Column capabilities, which allows us to easily modify or add risk calculations, without involving the vendor." Wee added: "Imagine also gave us cutting-edge operational sophistication and efficiency by providing comprehensive market data management and integrating the feeds from our prime brokers, fund administrator, and our front-end OMS vendor."
