OMEGA RESEARCH, INC., a major provider of real-time trading tools for online traders, demonstrated its new Internet-based trading platform, TradeStation.com, to active traders attending the OmegaWorld 2000 trading strategy development conference on June 11. TradeStation will offer professional and active traders innovative features such as direct access order execution and real-time and historical data feeds. SPECTRA SECURITIES SOFTWARE, INC signed a five-year contract with MuniBEX.com, Inc., a Wall Street investment firm, to bring the $1.5 trillion municipal bond market to the Internet. The two companies plan to construct an independent, centralized trading network for municipal bonds, powered by Spectra Bonds, a suite of software solutions that support institutional, retail, correspondent and bond exchange requirements. At the same time, MuniBEX will provide a common platform for trading municipal bonds, consisting of electronic order entry and execution.

SUN MICROSYSTEMS, INC. assembled more than 30 of its best-in-class solutions partners at the SIA Technology Management conference. Implementing the Solaris Operating Environment, Java technology and the Sun Ray system, Sun demonstrated the benefits of running infrastructures, services and devices on its advanced network computing platform. Some of this year's solutions on display included applications for Web-enabled institutional and retail trading, trade analytics and wireless trading applications.

IPC INFORMATION SYSTEMS, INC., an industry-leading supplier of voice trading systems and a Global Crossing company, previewed IQmx, its next-generation trading system, at the SIA Technology Management Exhibition at the New York Hilton this week. IQmx integrates voice, data and video feeds on one platform for traders and sales traders. The system is built on a dedicated Ethernet infrastructure and uses Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) to facilitate the integration.
