Ottawa-based MD Management Ltd., a firm with CAD $10 billion in assets, and Polar Securities, a Toronto-based hedge fund manager have both licensed Princeton Financial Systems portfolio and accounting management system, PAM for Mutual Funds. MD Management, which is replacing the MPower system from Star Data Systems, will also utilize several of Princetons complementary products, including the Import Module for loading transactions; the Asset Match Module for automatic position reconciliation with custodian banks, and the PAM Attribution Module for performance attribution.
Al Briand has joined Chase Manhattans Global Investor Services division in the newly formed role of Global Client Service Executive. In this capacity, Mr. Briand will work to ensure GIS continued ability to offer superior service delivery by developing innovative client service models, building and retaining the most talented and best trained client service professionals, and leveraging state-of-the-art technology to simplify and enhance existing processes. Mr. Briand brings 22 years of Chase experience in a number of key roles, most recently as managing director and head of strategic planning for Chase Asset Management and Mutual Funds.
The Institute for International Research is holding the Increasing Investment Management Operations Efficiencies conference on May 15-16 at the Empire Hotel in New York City.
