Cuttone & Company, a New York-based full-service institutional broker, has appointed Bret Goldin to the newly created position of senior vice president and director of sales for prime brokerage services and electronic trading.
Goldin will be charged with growing the firm's prime brokerage services and global electronic execution solutions across equities and options. "These are fast-growing business segments for Cuttone & Company which will strengthen the firm's position as a provider of superior prime brokerage and trade execution services for the institutional investor," says Goldin.
Keith Bliss, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Cuttone & Company, adds that while the firm has been in the introducing prime brokerage business for a couple of years, the firm is now working to expand its platform to the hedge fund community. "Bret's appointment will enable us to strategically build market share among this customer base," says Bliss.
Cuttone & Company's electronic trading solutions include its Direct Market Access Platform, which offers execution on al U.S. equities and listed options markets and 50 international equities markets.
In addition to adding to the breadth of its product offerings in the prime brokerage and electronic base internally, Cuttone & Company is also actively pursuing strategic relationships with other providers in the hedge fund industry to better reach its target audience, says Bliss.
Goldin previously served as principal, head of sell side sales and product of Banc of America Securities' Electronic Trading Services Group.
