Wiesenberger, Thomson Financial has announced the availability of daily fund performance data on its Web-based sales and illustrations product, InvestmentView.net. The two-year old Web solution is designed for fund and insurance companies to include on their Web sites or Intranets to draw in financial advisors and promote the companies' product offerings. Using the tool, advisors are able to create fully NASD-compliant fund & annuity sales presentations for use with their clients in the sales process. The product's main features include a Hypothetical illustration tool that allows users to run investment scenarios on mutual funds or variable annuity subaccounts using historical data.

Fremont Investment Advisors (FIA) announced that it has elected Nancy Tengler as its new president and chief executive officer, succeeding David Redo, who will begin transitioning to retirement. Tengler, who joined FIA last year as its president and chief investment officer, takes over the helm and will also serve as a managing director of the Fremont Group. Prior to joining Fremont, Tengler directed Global Alliance Value Investors as its president, CEO and CIO.

SunGard Investment Management Systems, an operating group of SunGard, announced that Laing & Cruickshank Investment Management (L&C) has signed a long-term contract with SunGard's private client investment management system PAL. SunGard Investment Management Systems is an international provider of investment management software solutions for the front-, middle- and back-office activities of global asset management firms. PAL is a solution that provides private client administration services to stockbrokers and fund managers in the UK.

INDATA, a provider of enterprise software solutions for investment management firms, announced that Pilgrim Baxter & Associates, based in Wayne, Pa, has gone live with the FIX trading functionality provided by Precision Trading, INDATA's trade order management solution. FIX, which stands for financial information eXchange, is a messaging protocol that allows buy-side firms to communicate trade information electronically with sell-side brokers including orders, executions, allocations, indications of interest, and other FIX message types.
