Fortis Signs Contract with Radianz; Hedge Fund Servicer Goes Live on DST's HiInvest; AXA To Implement DST; Beauchamp Launches New Version of FundManager

Fortis Investments, a Brussels-based asset manager, has signed a three-year contract with Radianz to get Financial Information exchange-protocol networking support. RadianzNet, the vendor's global-financial extranet, will link Fortis Investments' systems to sell-side brokerages globally to transmit investment orders to brokers.

Fortis Prime Fund Solutions, a servicer of hedge funds and fund-of-funds, recently went live with DST International's Hilnvest suite of solutions for its front and middle office. Fortis, which provides administrative services to over 1400 funds with net assets of over $100 billion, is using HiCompliance, HiOrders, ReportingDataMart and HiDataWarehouse as its platform.

AXA Investment Managers has also announced that it will implement solutions from DST International. AXA, an asset manager in Europe with Euro 268 billion in funds under management, will expand the user base on DSTi's HiPortfolio/2.

Investment-management vendor, Beauchamp Financial Technology has launched the latest version of FundManager, its flagship product. The enhancement includes additional fixed-income and credit-products coverage such as bank debt, distressed debt, credit-default swaps and interest-rate swaps. The product also includes regular fixed-income and equity products, as well as trade capture, P&L reporting and general ledger.

It wasn't all bad luck for the capital markets this week: Hedge funds had a decent first quarter despite a slowdown in jobs numbers, BlackRock might be heading into new territory as hedge fund managers take a hard look at their counterparties, and the head of the IMF didn't pull any punches when assessing today's global economy. At least we can admire the nice weather and some of the best quotes of the week.
