Citi Appoints McWhinney to Head Wealth Management

Former president of Schwab Institutional will oversee Citi's 600 bank-branch-based brokers.

Citi has named Deborah Doyle McWhinney to run Citi Personal Wealth Management and oversee the financial advisers who are not part of the joint venture with Morgan Stanley but who work within Citi branches other financial planning and wealth management services. In a press release, Citi said that in this new role, Ms. McWhinney will lead the firm's efforts to expand its wealth management service and premium personal banking services.

Previously McWhinney was president of Charles Schwab Institutional, executive vice president at Visa International and worked for 17 years at Bank of America Corporation.
