StreamBase Upgrades Engine
StreamBase Systems (Boston) released StreamBase 3.0, an upgrade to its stream processing engine. According to the company, the product's StreamOptimizer feature allows the new engine to run three times faster than the previous version and process more than 1 million messages per second with near-zero latency.
Using StreamBase 3.0, global enterprises are able to run real-time streaming applications that can process massive amounts of data from multiple sources, the vendor claims. Additionally, through the StreamBase Software Development Kit (SDK) feature, the new stream processing engine can integrate with TIBCO Enterprise Message Service as well as the Microsoft .NET Framework.
"We're ultimately helping our financial services customers increase profits by instantly acting on market opportunities, obtain best execution for their clients, and also reduce and better manage enterprise risk," said Barry Morris, President & CEO of StreamBase Systems, in a release. StreamBase 3.0 is available as a perpetual license with an annual maintenance fee.
