Risk Newsflashes

COR Risk Solutions launches asset allocation system; DrKW's Howitt Joins PRMIA's Education and Standards Committee; Royal Bank chooses Principia System for municipal GIC business.

COR Risk Solutions (COR-RS) has unveiled BITA Star, an asset-allocation system aimed at the private-client investment process. Taking a workflow approach, it helps the investment manager identify clients' appetite for risk and return and comply with the "Know Your Client" requirements.

BITA Star calculates a proposed asset-class level allocation for the client, or for model-fund-based managers, selects a recommended- portfolio based on the client profile.

Simon Tizard, managing director of COR-RS states in a release, "We have worked very closely with a leading private bank to design and build BITA Star for the private-client sector." He adds, "Our pre-launch research indicates that the system offers unique functionality by combining institutional levels of investment sophistication within a specifically designed private-client methodology."
