Algorithmics and Bloomberg launch Algo Data Loaders for Bloomberg Data for Algo Suite customers; AXA Investment Managers license Sophis' Value Front and Middle office fund and risk management solution in its Structured Asset Management division; Synergy Asset Management licenses COR Risk Solutions' BITA Research and BITA Risk Modeler.

Algorithmics and Bloomberg have teamed up to launch Algo Data Loaders for Bloomberg Data for Algo Suite customers. The data loaders populate Algo Suite with market and securities data available through Bloomberg's Data License product. Users can automatically map terms and conditions together with instrument prices and risk factor data such as interest rate curves, index prices and exchange rates for a variety of instruments types into Algo Suite. Separately, Algorithmics will now offer a distributed computing version of its Algo Suite using LiverCluster 3G application infrastructure platform provided by DataSynapse. This will enable customers to run Algo Suite across environments running both Linux and Sun's Solaris operating systems.

AXA Investment Managers has licensed Sophis' Value Front and Middle office fund and risk management solution in its Structured Asset Management division for its convertible bonds activity. AXA has worked closely with Sophis on its Value solution, which offers real-time valuation of all risk indicators and Net Asset Value Calculation, risk reporting and the ability to integrate proprietary financial models. The AXA SAM division plans to extend the use of the system to its index fund, structured fund sand credit arbitrage activities by the first quarter of next year.

Synergy Asset Management has licensed COR Risk Solutions' BITA Research and BITA Risk Modeler to support its style-factor based investment strategy development. BITA Research providers a risk engine and optimizer to handle portfolios with thousands of assets. Synergy will use the BITA Risk Modeler to construct factor risk models according to certain specifications, define and create historic factors from fundamental data, perform fractile-based back testing of the factors and produce optimized portfolios.
