The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi has adopted OpVantage's OpVar operational risk measurement software on a global basis. The BTM head office decided to use OpVar for analysis of its global operational use following BTM New York's purchase of OpVar in December of 2000 to help with its risk-adjusted return on capital analysis.
Standard & Poor's has launched its RatingsDirect 3.0 service for faster access to ratings information. The upgraded service is a real-time Web-based product for credit-risk analysis with access to Standard & Poor's database of ratings actions, rationales, commentaries, analyses and performance data on over eight million ratings, 290,000 issues and 150,00 reports. The services cover the corporate, financial institution, insurance, public finance, sovereign, structured finance and utility sectors. RatingsDirect 3.0 also includes new search functions, the ability to view results by ranking, customize views and review ratings details pages.
Forsythe Solutions Group has launched an Information Technology Risk Management Practice to help clients recover more easily from business interruptions and maintain more secure IT infrastructures. The practice will fall under Forsythe's Infrastructure Services Division and be led by David Nolan, who was formerly president of Comdisco's Continuity Services unit.
