Re: Major project
From a client POV, this change was as innocuous my FA handing me a new set of client forms to sign to transition to the 'structure'...no explanation behind it.  I will have to wait a while to see if there's any impact to my fees.

Re: Major project
Interesting you should say this. I'm definitely inerested in hearing more from a client POV.

In the couse of my research I've heard nothing but positive feedback from FAs, CAs, and end-users. It's of course likely there's still big disappointments with the current offering, but the excitement over training, and regions asking if they could be next-up in the rollout, and rapid adoption amongst its users supports the story that the platform is, if nothing else, a huge improvement.

Re: Major project
I would definitely like to hear some more about what is happening from the client POV. It has been hard to find clients willing to speak about the project and how they see it.

Re: Major project
you should see it from the inside...or from the client point of view...you might not be as impressed.

Agreed. It is great to see Merrill taking the lead again. Banks will have no choice but to follow.

Re: Major project
It is impressive that Bank of America Merrill Lynch has undertakne such a massive revamp of its platforms. It reflects the role that technology plays in retaining finanical advisers and in attracting FAs from rival firms to bring their book of business to Merrill.

There is a lot of emphasis on streamlining back-end procesess, documentation, client onboarding of multiple accounts for families, which evidently are pain points for client associates (CAs) who support the financial advisers.

Re: Major project
It took years of dedication to launch Merrill One, and it came at a time when most companeis were pulling back on big projects and still trying to patch up existing systems. Merrill definitely took a leap of faith. Looks like it's already paying off in spades.

Re: Major project
Yeah this sounds like the kind of overhaul of the operating model that nearly every bank or financial institutions would like to do, but few are willing to make the investment and take on the risk to do something this big.

Major project
This seems like a massive project for ML. To take on something this large is impressive, especially following the financial crisis and turmoil with the BofA/ML integration.
