The firm said the latest update to the Protegent Personal Trading Assistant program tracks trading activity by employees against market events like news, corporate actions or fluctuations in a stock's price or volume. It also provides alerts to detect information leaks across an organization's departments or geographic locations.

"Protegent PTA helps customers detect suspicious trading activity, including insider trading, through a single solution for multiple regulations and jurisdictions," SunGard Chief Operating Officer Steve Sabin said in a statement.
