Nasdaq OMX announced the launch of Genium Inet, a trading system for the Nordic cash and fixed income derivatives markets, which boasts a sub-100 microseconds average latency.
The platform, which Nasdaq said is the world’s fastest, is also capable of a thoroughput of over 1 million messages per second, the exchange operator added. The new system should also boost the trading and market quality of Nordic derivatives products, Nasdaq said.
“With the Genium INET launch we now extend the benefits of the world’s fastest trading technology to our Nordic derivatives markets, thus further contributing to a stronger Nordic financial market,” Hans-Ole Jochumsen, the president of Nasdaq OMX’s Nordic segment said in a release.
