Axios Systems and DataCenter Sign Strategic Agreement to Penetrate Growing Nordic Market

Partnership expects to benefit from market growth, as IDC forecasts Finland's IT market will grow by up to 3.4% during 2009.

Axios Systems, a provider of IT Service Management (ITSM) solutions, signed a new partnership agreement with DataCenter to boost its reach in Finland.

Under the agreement, DataCenter, whose services include systems management solutions and development and maintenance of IT infrastructure, will act as an implementation partner and reseller for Axios. Axios' ITSM software, assyst, is also available as Software-as-a-service (SaaS).

According to Axios, the combination of assyst and DataCenter's local expertise offers Finnish companies a solution with which they are able to increase IT efficiency, better align IT Services with business needs and achieve greater and faster return on investment from their IT infrastructure. Meanwhile, Axios reported that Finland's IT markets will grow by 1.4 to 3.4 percent during 2009, according to market research company IDC.

The final figure is expected to be at the high end of the forecast, the Herndon, Virginia-based vendor said.

This expected growth contrasts the rest of Western Europe, which IDC predicts will face a downturn of negative one to three percent in the coming year, Axios said. "We are seeing significant growth in demand for ITIL-based service management technology in the Nordic region," Andros Symeonides, head of emerging markets at Axios Systems, commented in the release.

"A growing number of organizations are looking to mature their approach to the delivery of IT Service Management and are investing in innovative technology, like assyst, to achieve this," he added.
