Shagoury Appointed LSE CIO
Antoine Shagoury has been appointed chief information officer (CIO) of the London Stock Exchange (LSE). He will be responsible for technology across the group’s markets and the group-wide IT organization.
He replaces current CIO David Lester who will concentrate on integration work around the Turquoise acquisition and the Baikal dark pool.
Shagoury, who also joins the executive committee, will report directly to LSE CEO Xavier Rolet and was previously CIO of the American Stock Exchange, which is now part of NYSE Euronext.
Rolet said in a statement, “We're delighted to be welcoming Antoine to the Group. His considerable industry experience will be an asset to the Executive Committee and the LSEG. In addition, the increased bandwidth across the top team will allow the Group to take advantage of new opportunities and deliver on its growth strategy.”
