Nasdaq's Event-Driven Analytics Now Accessible Via NJ Data Center

The firm said the move is an upgrade to its machine-readable news offering.

Nasdaq OMX said its event-driven analytics are now accessible through its Carteret, New Jersey data center, a move that will provide lower latency for subscribers to the exchange operator's machine-readable news service.

Nasdaq said the move will provide a boost to trading firms who incorporate macroeconomic news into their trading platforms, and will also provide lift to market makers who use machine-readable news for instrument pricing and risk management.

Nasdaq also said its event-driven analytics offering delivers key economic indicators such as Treasury auction results, jobs stats, and regional and federal economic data directly from the source in a high-speed, machine-readable format. The analytics are accessible through high-speed, 10G and 40G Ethernet networks.
