FTSE Unveils iPhone Market Data App
Britain's FTSE Group announced the launch of an iPhone app that enables users to stream real-time market data and keep track of indices in more than 50 countries.
The global index provider said the app, which is pre-loaded with two years of historical market data, contains customizable alerts designed to let a user know when an index has fall beneath or reached a certain threshold.
FTSE also said the app features graphing functions that allow users to view and compare how an index has performed either on an intraday or yearly basis.
"The new FTSE app means for the first time, users can benefit from a direct connection to live FTSE data on the go," John White, FTSE's director of content management said in a statement.
