Archipelago Exchange Launches New Market-Data Web Site; TowerGroup Says Markets Will Increasingly Be Differentiated by Technology

Archipelago Exchange Launches New Market-Data Web Site

The Archipelago Exchange has launched a new market-data Web site. Archipelago says the centerpiece of the new site is ArcaVision, which is described in a release as "a new level of stock exchange-provided real-time and historical information." Access is available through a public Web site, with more functions available through a free subscription to ArcaVision. ArcaEx clients can access a password-protected site to monitor their own trading activity. "As an all-electronic exchange, we feel that ArcaEx has a significant technology edge that we've applied in developing our new Web site," said Steve Rubinow, chief technology officer of Archipelago, in a statement. "We can now offer traders and issuers real-time information and analysis and can deliver it in a way that allows them to tailor and customize the data to meet their specific needs."
