Latin American Broker Selects FIX Flyer and Daytona for Monitoring

Firm will deploy the high performance FIX engine and monitoring platform to manage client's order flow and for routing to Bolsa Mexicana.

FIX Flyer announced that another leading Latin American brokerage firm selected the FIX Flyer Engine and Daytona monitoring platform as the core component of their electronic trading infrastructure. The unnamed brokerage firm will deploy the platform to manage their clients' order flow and for routing to exchanges such as the Mexican Stock Exchange (Bolsa Mexicana)using FIX.

The solution uses IBM WebSphere MQ Low Latency Messaging (LLM) to integrate FIX Flyer's high performance FIX Engine and Daytona monitoring into the client's order management system and operations environment. According to FIX Flyer, the solution combines IBM LLM and the FIX adapter to provide:

• High speed, scalable, and deterministic order processing • Tools for managing FIX order traffic including sending rejects and busting trades • Real time latency and metrics on both the messaging and business level • Comprehensive high-availability and redundancy to ensure non-stop service during extreme periods of market volatility FIX Flyer worked with IBM and leveraged both their technical and sales resources in order to win the deal. Importantly, IBM also provided FIX Flyer with testing systems at its Waltham, Massachusetts IBM Innovation Center for a series of highly productive performance tuning sessions. “We are delighted to be making great strides in high performance trading in other parts of the world,” exclaimed George Kledaras, Chairman and founder of FIX Flyer, in the release. “Our software increases any investor’s bottom line by efficiently processing millions more price points. Leveraging IBM’s expertise in technology and sales helped us expand into this important and growing region,” stated Kledaras. The integrated FIX Flyer and IBM LLM platform provides "an intelligently architected approach" to electronic trading and order routing, according to the release. Traders at the global firm have the ability to safely handle unforeseen spikes in volume during volatile markets and experience increased operational efficiencies from consolidating systems and network connections into a single solution, according to the release.
