Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute

Founded in 1824 in Troy, N.Y., RPI is one of the nation's oldest technological universities. The university offers degrees from four schools -- Engineering and Science; Architecture; Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences; and the Lally School of Management & Technology -- as well as an interdisciplinary degree in Information Technology. It also has a campus in Hartford, Conn.

Degrees: Through the Department of Electrical Engineering, Computer and Systems Engineering (EECSE), RPI offers Master of Science (MS) and Master of Engineering (MEng) in Electrical Engineering (ELEC) and Computer & Systems Engineering (CSYS) degrees. Students may pursue master's degrees on either a full- or part-time basis at either the Troy, N.Y., campus or Hartford, Conn., campus.
