Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)

MIT's mission is to advance the knowledge of and educate students in science and technology for the 21st century. Based in Cambridge, Mass., MIT ranked fifth in U.S. News and World Report's study of the best colleges and universities.

Degrees: Nearly 25 percent of MIT's undergraduates are enrolled in the department of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science. Master of Engineering degrees are offered in various concentrations, including artificial intelligence, computer systems, graphics and human-computer interface. MIT also offers a Master in Finance degree.
