Ed’s Note: Our 2012 salary survey showed it’s a good time to brush up your IT skills: While financial firms lay off thousands of employees, specialized IT skills remain in short supply and are demanding a premium in the marketplace. Meanwhile, total compensation, which includes base salary and bonus, is up for both IT staff and managers.
