Vialog Introduces Online Conference Planning
Starting this month, organizing all of your conferencing and presentation needs can be as simple as a point and click. Vialog Corporation is expecting to launch its Website, Webconferencing.com, which allows clients to schedule, organize and pay for meeting services via the Internet, in September. Webconferencing.com features all of Vialogs current services such as audio conferencing, audio streaming through the Internet along with visual presentation capabilities to complement the audio.
"Its really one-stop shopping for Investor relations and earnings calls," says Mimi Englander, assistant vice president of marketing for Vialog. "Companies can go to Webconferencing.com and arrange everything without having to pick up the phone and interface with our customer service representatives." Englander adds that while other companies offer Web conferencing, Vialog is the first to offer the Web-based packages and services interfaced with their current scheduling capabilities such as phone arrangements.
Oracle databases will manage the customer information and will interface with Vialogs customer database for handling reservations. Clients will enter the Web site and make arrangements, including presentation content which is attached to the reservation and converted into an Internet ready presentation or slide show. But, Englander adds, there will still be a human element available for their Web site customers. While pricing is yet to be determined and depends on the services ordered, Englander says that firms using Vialog for their earnings calls receive audio streaming free of charge.
"We think the business world, especially the financial services industry, will become increasingly more dependent on the Internet," says Englander. "Webconferencing.com is going to revolutionize the way companies meet."
