Omgeo, a provider of global trade-management services, announced that Markus Ruetimann, managing director and global head of technology and portfolio services at UBS Global Asset Management, joined the Omgeo Board of Managers. Ruetimann officially joined the board at its quarterly meeting on Oct. 9.
Cross Border Exchange (CBX), a solution that aims to streamline cross-border trading, announced it has been approved as a Swift electronic-trade-confirmation (ETC) service provider and Swift service bureau. The move enables CBX and Capco, the global financial services and technology solutions provider, to offer integrated end-to-end, pre- and post-trade straight-through-processing services with multiple client-link capability via its GeoTrades platform and SwiftNet.
Northern Trust, a global custody, asset administration, and investment management service provider, announced its appointment by the New Mexico State Board of Finance to serve as custodian for four state agencies with a combined total of $28 billion in assets. In addition to serving as custodian, Northern Trust will also provide cash management and risk and performance services. The assets have already transitioned.
