The head of Morgan Stanley's quantitative software and modeling group is leaving the firm after three years, Bloomberg News reported, citing an internal memo it obtained.
Jay Dweck joined Morgan Stanley in 2007 to build and manage its trading software programs after a 13-year run at Goldman Sachs, Bloomberg said.
The move comes amid Morgan Stanley Chief Executive James Gorman's revamping of the company's trading unit, Bloomberg added, noting that the firm named Ken deRegt as head of fixed income trading earlier this month, while hiring Glenn Hadden away from Goldman Sachs last week to serve as its global head of interest rates.
Bloomberg also reported that Christine Murphy and Michael Sternberg will become the co-heads of Morgan Stanley's global sales and trading strats group.
