Credit Market Analysis (CMA), a provider of credit-market analytics, announced that it will use creditex's credit-default-swap pricing data to improve its offerings. CMA provides a wide range of credit-market analytics on a cleaned set of credit-market data in an accessible form for credit professionals in banks, hedge funds and money-management firms.

STP vendor SmartStream Technologies has acquired privately held Effective Solutions Inc, a U.S.-based provider of corporate-actions and reference-data software for the wholesale financial markets. Financial terms were not disclosed. SmartStream says it will combine its reconciliations and exception-management solutions with ESI's corporate-actions and data-cleansing software under a new 'STP Control Architecture', dubbed TLM. ESI's solutions are platform-independent, object-based, client/server applications written in C++, SQL and Java.

Financial Sciences Corporation, Inc., a developer of enterprise financial systems, announced that it is working with Reuters, the global information, news and technology group, to implement an interface that will allow for electronic dissemination of commercial-paper-offering rates. Rates, which used to be updated by telephone, can now be delivered automatically from ATOM Money Market Trading to Reuters. ATOM Money Market Trading is Financial Sciences Corporation's system that supports the processing needs of large direct issuers of commercial paper and other money-market securities.
