The Chicago Board of Trade has named Steven Dickey Vice President of Market Data products at the exchange. Dickey will be responsible for the CBOT's market data activities and will work to develop new market data offerings as well as ways to increase market data revenue at the exchange. Previously, Dickey was Executive Vice President for Global Sales and Marketing at CQG Inc, a quotations vendor.
Standard & Poor's has expanded its offering of Certificate of Deposit information to include independent evaluations both domestic and foreign bank CDs in addition to Index-linked CDs such as the S&P 500 and NASD 100 linked CDs. This adds to S&P's CD pricing service, which included municipal and taxable fixed-income securities. The new service will produce a single file pricing layout of all the CDs.
Caplin Systems and weComm have teamed up to deliver real-time market data to wireless devices, including iPAQs and JavaPhones. Traders and brokers will be able to receive aggregated financial data. Caplin will incorporate weComm's WAVE platform to deliver real-time quotes and news as well as charting capabilities, alerts, and bi-directional data streaming, which allows for trading capabilities.
