Capital Management Sciences pre-releases version 4.2 of BondEdge; SS&C releases CapitalSuite; Cutter Associates releases study on Trade Order Management and Compliance Systems, and T+1/STP.

Capital Management Sciences, a subsidiary of Data Broadcasting Corp., has pre-released version 4.2 of the BondEdge fixed-income portfolio analytics system. This version offers new advanced tools for mortgage-backed security prepayment analyses, additional global portfolio reporting features, a new model for interest rate caps and floors and a new high yield appraisal report for non-investment grade holdings. The advanced Prepayment Model Scaling tool allows clients to modify individual parameters within the system's fixed rate mortgage prepayment model, and to specify new models for user-defined collateral types.

SS&C Technologies has released CapitalSuite, a new Internet portal that consolidates a suite of information services, links to relevant market new and information, and Web-enabled access to SS&C's portfolio of investment management software applications. CapitalSuite will allow institutional investment management firms to view, access and report on a wide range of information relevant to portfolios resident in SS&C's Camra 2000 and Antares 2000 applications. The new technology will allow users to access the services via any Web browser whereby the can slice and dice portfolio data and link to outside sources.

Cutter Associates presented the results of a study on Trade Order Management and Compliance Systems and T+1/Straight-Through Processing at the second meeting of the Technology Council. Under the Council's direction, Cutter analyzed more than 20 vendors of TOM and Compliance Systems based on a 1,000 question RFP and detailed product demonstrations. The Technology Council is composed of senior technology managers from more than 30 leading investment firms collectively managing more than $8 trillion.
